Sunflowers On A Cloudy Day

Whitehouse Farms planted a field of sunflowers this year. The days I painted There were cloudy and threatened rain. But the overcast conditions worked like a shade tree for comfort in the heat.

Sunflower Patch

The Mill Creek metro-park experimental farm planted a field of sunflowers this year. I almost missed them. They are fading, but we had a good turnout of painters who did lovely renderings of the golden flowers.

Hills of Sunflowers

Fields of yellow fringed sunflower faces on Macklin Road are a thrilling view for landscape artists. Some of us went back a third, and fourth time to paint on location. This week I took a larger stretched canvas, 28 x 28 inches square.
I will be showing my paintings at the Art Outreach Gallery on August 24 through September 29th. The Gallery is in the Eastwood Mall in Niles, Ohio.
