Calla Road

One section of Calla Road peters out at the edge of what is now the Mill Creek Park Wildlife Sanctuary. At one time it was a fish farm and there are several ponds in the valley to the left. We have painted here often. Last week the color seemed to be along this lane. I returned a second day to paint with a friend, to find the autubon club spotting a variety of migrating birds.

Looking Through the Goldenrod

The Bird Sanctuary at Mill Creek Park. The plein air painters all agreed that yesterday was the perfect day to be working outside, especially here at the bird sanctuary!

Calla Road

Weather prediction foretold of thirty five mile hour winds, but it was a remarkably lovely day. I did layer with seven or so layers of sweaters, some wool, old stretch pants under my long dress three hats & two hoods. Why take chances? We did have several inches of snow that night, & it has not yet melted.
