Nancy's Orchard
Another orchard in bloom. This is at the north end of our road. A classmate from gradeschool was raised here and she and her husband ran the business after her parents retired. It is sold now, but still kept up. $375 12" X 16" Oil on canvas board

Orchard In Bloom
Last week the apple blossoms were beginning to pop open. This orchard is less than a mile north of us. Rain was predicted for the next few days. The blossoms only last a short while, so I felt compelled to paint. Yellow dandelions seemed to compete with the pink blossoms for color. The blossoms became fuller even as I painted. I like the way it came together, but lightened the shadows somewhat back in the studio.

Amish Sheep Farm
As I drove around the New Willmington, PA farm country I turned onto a gravel road, thinking it was a public road as it had a street sign. The gravel road ended at this Amish farm. The view was so lovely I had to ask permission to paint it. The wind was very brisk, making it difficult to paint while holding onto my straw hatbrim (to keep the sun out of my eyes), the easel (to keep it from blowing over) and put the brushes to a vibrating canvas. After stuggling for a couple of hours I finished up the painting in my car. Then, later worked on it in my studio. 9" X 12" Oil on canvas board $350

Rogers, View From Church Lot
This is a small town nestled in the hills along Ohio Route 7. It is famous for it's huge flea market and sale barns. The church spire is the Methodist church that cousins of mine grew up in. To paint this view I drove up an hillside alley and into a church parking lot. Oil painting 9" X 12" $450
