While the daffodil were making a lovely show I was invited to demonstrate my painting skill at the Hoyt open house. This is my demo.

Hoyt View of New Castle

Ending that same week in Eleventh Month I painted a view from the Hoyt Art Center second floor window. They held and their fall open house on the 18th. The New Castle news even used a photograph of me in their news story! Not pretty, at my age, but the palette and painting looked good!

A Demo painted, on a rainy afternoon, under cover of The Hoyt Museum porch. The ancient Beech tree made a fascinating study.

Hoyt Class Study

The first fall Hoyt Class demo. We painted under covered patio with the fall arrangement on a stool in the light. There was a light drizzle some of the evening which did not hurt the display and seemed to enhance the colors. Students were enthusiastic and designed their own interesting compositions.

North Hill

The Plien Air class at Hoyt Art Center met to paint at the corner of Lincoln & Highland Streets in New Castle, Pennsylvania. We will try to find a quieter place to paint next week!

Still Life on A Rainy Day

The Hoyt Plein Air classes started last week. Rain was pouring down so I set a still life up on the window ledge of the "Blue Room". This was my demo.

Hoyt Roses

Yesterday was the first summer plein air class at the Hoyt Art Center. The new students are so enthusiastic. There was a light rain the whole time we were outside. This is a demo I painted in the rose garden at the Hoyt Center.
