Lamppost Farm

11/13/17, Having scheduled a Meet-up to paint at Lamppost Farms I thought in the early part of the day no one would meet me there. The rain discourages some artists. I didn't feel like battling the rain either. However the rain let up about time to leave, so I went. The animals on this farm seem comfortable with a stranger, even curious. So, I painted alone this dreary day in Eleventh Month.

Cranberry. PA

One beautiful summer day I met two Plein Air artists, Doreen Currie and Tami Louco. Tami is from the Cranberry area of Pennsylvania and Doreen is from the Latrobe area. We shared stories over a lovely meal at Tami's and Painted this farm on a cool sunny day.

Rhodes' Homestead

Our Northeast Plein Air group met at Rhodes Farm Market along route 46 the last two Mondays. We enjoyed the ambiance. This week the farmers were shredding the corn stalks. Only a little of the flying debris stuck on my painting! Our hosts were so friendly & gracious. Wanted to put the black & white cows in, but they disappeared.

Barn With A View

Today I had to paint. I put my Siberian, Lupine, in the car. Gathered up water for him & a long wire cord. He played in the harvested field behind me very contentedly (except for one deep hole he crafted). The view is looking toward Leetonia, I think. I see a few things I want to touch up, & maybe try another photo, not sure if the colors exactly true, but not bad.

Rupert Farm

This afternoon I took our Siberian Husky to my paint-out. I parked along the roadside at highway 7. I prepared the pallet (all but the mixing) before leaving the studio. The scene caught my eye a few days ago, but then there were cows in the shade of the trees. The dog entertained himself by digging holes.
