Lake Newport

We painted this Monday again at Lake Newport, Daffodil Meadow.We arrived early to beat the rain. Sure enough the rain began around one. It was a gentle rain, though, so I didn't mind, it doesn't inhibit the oil paint, but others paint with acrylic or pastels, so they packed up quickly.

North Hill

The Plien Air class at Hoyt Art Center met to paint at the corner of Lincoln & Highland Streets in New Castle, Pennsylvania. We will try to find a quieter place to paint next week!

Daffodil Meadow

Plein Air Club in East Ohio met Monday at the Mill Creek Park Daffodil Meadow. We had a nice turnout and the weather was ideal.

Still Life on A Rainy Day

The Hoyt Plein Air classes started last week. Rain was pouring down so I set a still life up on the window ledge of the "Blue Room". This was my demo.

Gingerbread House in Gray

The plein air painting club met in Leetonia. We had so many choices from lovely old buildings, coke ovens, to railroad tracks, it was difficult to pick a scene. I finally chose this natural gray gingerbread house, with an old red barn behind it. I was told the house would soon be painted.

Ice Chunks

Ice chunks lined the  banks at Beaver Creek State Park Monday where five artists met to paint. This was the warmest day we had this year. So wonderful to be out painting again!

Quakertown Falls

One warmer day this month Brad called to ask if we were going somewhere to paint. We had talked of painting the frozen falls. The falls were running freely that day, there was ice hanging from the walls of the ravine.
