Peonies Mid-Day

The Denver Plein Air painters met at Alamo Placita Park, which I read translates "little place of the cottonwoods". It is downtown and the section where we met was busy with gardeners. Peonies have always been one of my favorite flowers and the contrast of dark leaves and white flower drew me to them. The pink clump to the right had already been weighted to the ground.

Hi Nancy.
It is so difficult to choose which painting of yours to comment on. They are all fantastic and colourful paintings. But I choose this one because it is your latest posting. It`s beautiful. Nancy, I can`t understand why you get very few comments on your brilliant paintings, it baffles me. At one time I believed it was because you never did answer the comments, and people get fed up with this and stop commenting. But as of late you do answer them. So I am one baffled Artist who incidentally loves your work. All the very best Nancy.
Vic.

Thanks Vic and Hilda. It seems to take me a while to learn the protocol! But, I know that some friends check my work without commenting, publicly that is. I am excited that I now have a small space in the Colorado Mountain Art Gallery to hang my paintings.

Vic, what great comments you had for Nancy. Nancy, I love this painting, it is so loose and abstract. You make ti look effortless!

You know what, sometimes it is almost effortless. This one did seem to paint itself. Thanks Debi
