Foxton Road along Platte River

The next day Jerusha & I drove west from Denver to Foxton then along the SW Platte River Road. They were doing a controled burn while we were there, which hazed up the mountains in the valley. We saw bear scat around where we painted, but were releived no bear appeared. When we left I realized I had left my sunglasses on, so not sure how true the color/values are. But, the sun shown bright on the red rock hillside and as the afternoon waned the purple shadows on the left crept in.

I think I like them better with the sunglasses on! Those red rocks can really look sun-blasted in the afternoon and you caught the feel of the place really well!

Hi Nancy.
I`ve missed a lot of your paintings Nancy, I`m sorry. But this comment is for all of them, brilliant. All the best.
Vic.

Thanks Jon. I like it more and more each day.
It's OK Vic. I don't have much time to spend on the computer either. I appreciate any comments
